Participants will learn how to recognize signs of potential disruptions, develop protocols for handling such incidents, and respond in a calm, assertive, and professional manner.

The course covers topics such as understanding the different types of disruptions that can occur, dealing with protestors or demonstrators inside or outside of the building, maintaining a positive image of the church during disruptions, understanding the use of force policy, and handling domestic violence situations with care and sensitivity. Participants will also learn how to de-escalate situations, redirect individuals to less public areas, and work as a team to ensure the safety and well-being of the congregation.

Participants will learn about organizing search efforts, utilizing available resources, and maintaining communication. 

Active Shooter incidents have become a tragic reality in today's world, and houses of worship are not immune to this threat. This course emphasizes the importance of being prepared for such an event and provides practical strategies for response. 

Through a combination of theory and practical training, this course equips Action Teams with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively respond to an active shooter incident. Participants will learn about the nature of active shooters and how to identify potential threats within the congregation. 

The course emphasizes the importance of early detection and prevention, and provides guidance on how to establish a clear and unified response plan. Practical techniques for managing the situation, providing aid to victims, and coordinating efforts with other team members will also be covered. 

The goal of this course is to empower ministry leaders and Action Teams to be proactive and prepared in the face of an active shooter incident. By understanding the threat, identifying potential risks, and developing effective response strategies, participants will be equipped to take decisive action and potentially save lives in a high-stress situation. 

Mental Health and De-escalation focuses on equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis in a compassionate and safe manner. The course emphasizes the importance of prioritizing safety, using de-escalation techniques, approaching individuals with empathy and compassion, assessing and referring individuals to appropriate resources, and maintaining privacy and confidentiality. 

Through this course, participants will learn to recognize signs of a mental health crisis, approach individuals in crisis with calmness and respect, and utilize de-escalation techniques to defuse potentially volatile situations. The course also covers the importance of active listening, validation, and offering support without judgment or criticism.
